i’ve been in palm springs for the past couple of days. hence no blog updates.

its official. i am now a proud owner of a canon 5d mark ii. woooo hooo!!!

this is pretty big news for me. if you didn’t know already, i have been shooting with a canon 20d for the past 5 years. that means every picture you have seen on my blog or posted somewhere over the past 5 years, was taken with that 20d. it was a very good camera to me, and performed like a champ, but it was long overdue for an upgrade. i have even had some people think it ludicrous that i went through brooks with a camera of such amateur status, but  i am a strong believer in the whole “its not the camera, but the person behind it” view in photography. i have taken some pretty awesome pictures with the 20d and am proud to say that i was able to use it for that long of a time. there is a point though, in which one must move on.

i will still be using the 20d for my water photography shots because i have not had a chance to purchase a new water housing just yet.

haha all of these 3d movies and what not makes me want to shoot 3d. so i did

this technique is no where new in any way. i have just never tried it.

in order to view these images in 3d you must use those old school red and blue 3d glasses. those new polarized ones you get when seeing avatar or alice in wonderland will not work

so i hated looking at my bed all neatly made but then seeing the box spring exposed. all dumb looking in its stupid pink color.
sure i could have gotten a bedding skirt but those are dumb too. so instead i made a wooden “frame” for it. i put frame in quotes because its not really a frame. it only covers half of the bed since you cant see the other half anyway.

used pine wood with a jacobean stain. mmmmmmm
